I’m Faye, and I’ve spent over twenty years working in financial services – from big corporate environments to rollercoaster FinTechs, from alternative finance to where I am now, social impact investment. I love working within and with growing organisations, providing the accountability, coaching, insight and structure that they need to thrive.
Throughout my career, I’ve been alongside organisations at every stage of their journey. I’ve supported early-stage ventures through their first fundraising rounds, guided companies toward growth or strategic exits, and managed lending portfolios worth up to £300 million. Each experience has taught me something different about what it takes to build sustainable businesses.
I’ve learned that finance can be bewildering. That’s why I’m passionate about making financial knowledge accessible to everyone. I spend a lot of my time breaking down complex concepts through coaching and mentoring, helping my team, clients, and network understand financial strategies with confidence. Because when people understand the numbers, they make better decisions.
I’m an accredited leadership coach and hold a distinction in The Chartered Banker’s Diploma in Lending Skills. I’m also an alumna of Good Finance’s Investment Committees of the Future programme, and I completed my BA in European Studies at the University of Manchester.
Here, I share what I’m learning about leadership, career development, and finding that sweet spot between professional growth and personal wellbeing. You’ll find reflections on financial services, practical career insights, and honest conversations about the realities of building a meaningful, healthy professional life.
I write for people who want to navigate their career path with confidence – sharing the insights I wish I’d had when I was starting out.
